(And I never fail to be amused by the fact that there was a character named April in RENT, even if she was only mentioned).

andofthefuture - Cassandra (Greek Mythology) - Because she tells the future. And all that fun stuff.

aschoolteacher - Anna Leonowens (Anna and the King) - I would like to know why, if science can unravel something as beautiful as music, why it cannot posit a solution for a schoolteacher and a king. Enough said.

athornsrose - Rosethorn (The Circle of Magic) - For the obvious play on her name.

badgirlendsup - Diana Ladris (Gone) - The bad girl ends up with the bad boy.

couldyoucry - Dairine Callahan (Young Wizards) - This is an AU version of Dairine. She's working for the Lone Power a bit, and it's all very good fun. The name comes from the question If Betty had died before Dairine's Ordeal, would she still have been able to cry for It? It doesn't connect completely, since that's a different AU, but it's close.

memoryskeeper - Tzivia Mindel (The Mivtsa - original fiction) - Tzivia never forgets anything. She also has a repository of knowledge from a dead alien race in her head. So, yeah, she's definitely a keeper of memories.

mossadgirl - Ziva David (NCIS) - Because Ziva is awesome and from Mossad. Also because it has a nice ring to it.

nemesis_goddess - Nemesis (Greek Mythology) - Because her name is Nemesis. And she's a goddess. Oh yeah.

yewtreesmoke - Percival (Arthurian Legend) - From Tennyson's The Holy Grail. I didn't actually read the whole poem, but I liked the sound of that one line.

ziva_ncis - Ziva David (NCIS) - Her name is Ziva and she's part of NCIS. Very creative, I know.
