Animorphs Casting Picspam

In which I attempt to cast the Animorphs for the challenge at picspammy. I mostly fail, because I know nothing about actors and consequently just trolled through pb_updates. I'd really like to hear who you'd pick, though.

And, lilting_grace, there are slight spoilers, but only in the form of quotations from the different Animorphs, so I think you should be okay.





























Notes:
Obviously, they're older than thirteen or fourteen, but due to the pretty mature content of the series, I think this is justified.

Jake: Ricky Ullman
Cassie: Sammy Jo Wilkinson
Marco: Tyler Hoechlin
Ax: Rygel ...Well, not really. The point is, Ax would make an awesome puppet, in the right hands.
Tobias: Mitch Hewer
Rachel: Kristen Stewart

And, because I love the casting, I leave you with Penn Badgley as Tom.

I would never have thought of Kristin Stewart as Rachel... yet somehow it fits XD She has that "let's do it" smirk. Also your Tom is exactly how I imagined him.

I love the quotes you've chosen to represent the characters! I like your casting too, especially Tobias, mm. He and Rachel would also look super cute together which is of course the most important thing! =) Cassie looks a little surly for my mental image of Cassie, but I can't think off the top of my head who else I'd pick.

If I were in charge of the series, it would be hand-drawn animation, in a Disney style reminiscent of either the stylised Hercules or realistic Beauty and the Beast. I miss 2d animation, I really do, and it would circumvent the difficulty posed by all the alien races.

Of course, the theatre fag in me wants to see what a full-body puppet andalite could be, but that is a pipe dream.

I really liked the Jake and Marco, and Cassie was ok, but not a huge fan of the Rachel and Tobias. I agree with the person who said Tobias was way too gorgeous for a high school dork. Not to mention, I distinctly remember Jake referring to Tobias as out of shape in the first book. I see Tobias as more skinny-emo-guy cute.
I don't like Kristen Stewart as Rachel, either. I just can't see her being kickass enough. Plus, I picture Rachel as more typically beautiful.
I really do love the Marco, though.

... GAH. *stares at Tobias* I never really pictured him as so hot -- I think he'd need to look more geeky/shy, but on the other hand, wow, that is one seriously pretty guy. *notes name for later* That said, nice quotations! Jake's a great pick, I can totally see that working.
