Stargate is not something either of them expected. He’d stopped calling her, blaming it on the time difference, or saying he was too tired or that he didn’t want to bother her. Stargate is a very good reason for him to call her, right now.
“Together again,” she says as he clutches the phone to his ear.
“Yeah,” he says.

She’s already been in Vancouver a week when he gets there.

The funny thing is that now their characters aren’t supposed to be in love, which means he has to remind himself to stop watching her move across the room and not to destroy that last few inches between them and move completely into her personal space. He has always had to remind himself of these things off-camera, but it used to be that on-camera he could actually relax. Now, John’s not there to share the blame.

Usually, he declines the invitation whenever the rest of the cast goes out for drinks, but eventually Michael pressures him into it and he finally says yes. Mistake, of course.
He drinks just enough to have a pleasant buzz but still be aware of Claudia’s hand on his knee and the curve of her cheek as she laughs at something Chris has said.
Danger, Ben Browder, he thinks. Danger.
It’s something John Crichton would say, and that almost makes him laugh. He doesn’t, but Claudia notices anyway, which has to mean something, right?

God, yes! This line. It brings memories to me of pictures in Stargate's set, where Claudia is closer to Michael and Ben's somewhere else. :( I miss them.
