As for rping, yeah, I've rp-ed since, like, Freshmen year. The best was probably a Trojan War one, until it died (*is very sad*). I actually haven't told anyone either, although just the other day it came up at dinner and I said that I rp-ed, but I don't think my family gets it...
I've been doing it since the summer after Sophomore year. I started out with just gen HP ones, then moved on to the dark and oh so fun world of slash (I dunno if that creeps you out or not, but I love it). I tried to kind of explain it to my family in a simplified way: I write stories with people online? They were just like 'oh, okay, whatever.' I haven't told any of my friends, though, because they'd surely laugh at me and tell me to get a life.
My first was one from a book series you've probably never read by Tamora Pierce. From there I moved on to a bunch on EZBoard, but the only one that really got off the ground was the Trojan War one (can you tell that I really miss that one). I just started looking into the ones around lj...there's a lot of cool multifandom ones out there.
I explained it to my parents by basically sying "Well, it's like that, but in the third person, past tense" because we had just been talking about more Dungeons and Dragons-style rp-ing.
As for slash...I'm neutral. Stargate SG-1 (one of my myriad fandoms) has a really big slash base, so I've become acclimated. I don't currently ship any slash pairings, but who knows?
(Then again, right now I'm obsessed with Morgan le Fay/King Arthur, which is totally incest, though I try not to mention that part.)

Looking for another cool multifandom one? aternaville. I'm in it. It's crazy. There are so many different fandoms that I've completely lost count. It used to be a lot more active, then it died down a bit, and now it's picking back up. I play Sirius - beenalongtime3. The girl I was telling you about in Italian plays Remus. There are Stargate people there, I think, or at least one person.
I could totally convert you to Remus/Sirius, even with you not liking Harry Potter. Seriously. There was so much happiness and so much angst and so much... emotion in general in their relationship (that yes, did exist, even though it's not spelled out in the books, and anyone who says otherwise will be beaten). The lyrics in my LJ? Almost fit them, though R/S didn't quite end so finally. During the first war, though, they each thought the other was a spy for the evil side, and so they broke things off very bitterly.

Sweet. I have no idea who she is or what that show is, but I'll read through the whole wikipedia thing sometime. She looks cool. We'll have to find some way for her and Sirius to meet and become bffs hahaha. He doesn't have enough friends (and he needs some, especially with Snape, his nemesis, in town).
Sociable, Ziva? ...Yeah, she can be. She would be, with people in the same building as her. And probably she's been sent there to be friendly, so, yeah, they could definately meet up.
